In recent years, websites have become the primary platform for publishing information and the various services offered by the company to the general public.
At Beach Club Haifa, we recognize the importance of making the digital space accessible to people with disabilities and see this as an integral part of our service philosophy and social responsibility.
The company’s goal in making the site accessible is to create equal opportunities in the online space for people with diverse impairments and those using assistive technologies while browsing the internet.
Website Accessibility Adjustments
This website has implemented accessibility adjustments in accordance with the recommendations of the Israeli standard (IS 5568) and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) level AA, published by the W3C international organization that sets internet standards.
The site’s accessibility is reflected in the following areas:
The site is adapted for browsing on desktop, laptop, and mobile devices.
You can increase text size by pressing “Ctrl” and “+” simultaneously. Each press increases the display by 10%. To reduce the display size, press “Ctrl” and “–”.
Users who have difficulty using a mouse can navigate the site using a keyboard. Repeatedly pressing the Tab key moves between links on the page. Pressing Enter activates the highlighted link, and Esc exits menus and pop-ups.
Pages have a semantic and standard structure (with proper heading levels, link tagging, image labeling, etc.).
Assistive Technology Support – This website is accessible and compatible with screen readers such as NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver.
Headings are arranged in a clear hierarchy.
Images and non-text elements include proper tagging and descriptions.
Visual focus indicators are present.
Focus order is logical and easy to understand.
Accessibility alerts are provided for form input issues (such as in the contact form).
Accessibility Tool (Accessibility Widget)
As part of the accessibility process, an accessibility plugin was implemented on the website to enable comfortable use and improve the user experience for people with disabilities.
Browsing the site with the accessibility tool is recommended using the latest version of Google Chrome.
Using older or unsupported browsers may result in incompatibilities between desired actions and actual changes on the site.
